Save your mobile phone data

The Mobile Phone Backup service allows you to store the data placed on your mobile and SIM card in a safe place. That way, if you lose your mobile phone or purchase a new one, you will still have all your data. You can then easily transfer it to your new mobile.

  • Your data is kept safe: your contacts, calendar, tasks, notes, photographs, videos, ringtones and SMSes are stored in MyProximus, so will not lose them if your mobile phone is lost or stolen.
  • Your data is always up-to-date, wherever you go: thanks to wireless synchronization, you have on your mobile any data that you have saved on MyProximus. You can synchronize it whenever and wherever you wish.
  • Your data is easy to manage: you can consult and process it via MyProximus.

Practical

The Mobile Phone Backup service is accessible via MyProximus, the central access point for all your personalized online services. All you have to do is sign up here for FREE.
Once you have signed up, select "My GSM" and then "Mobile Phone Backup". This section explains how to synchronize and store your data using the Mobile Phone Backup service, and check whether your mobile phone is compatible.

You can also use the Mobile Phone Backup service via your mobile phone for:

  • data (your contacts) stored on your SIM card
    You can save and synchronize this data via the ProxiMenu on your mobile phone. For this, you need a compatible SIM card (it must bear the Mobile Phone Backup logo).
  • data stored on your mobile phone
    You can save and synchronize this data via an application (or settings), which you can download onto your mobile phone FREE OF CHARGE. How? Click above the button 'Perform the Mobile Phone Backup' or select in "MyProximus" "My GSM" and then "Mobile Phone Backup".

  All rates include VAT.
* You can activate the monthly rate via MyProximus. It is extended automatically every month. Maximum of 1,000 synchronizations per month; cannot be transferred to the next month. Beyond this limit, you pay €0.75 per synchronization. To find out how to cancel the service, read the frequently asked questions.
** Depends on the country in which you perform the synchronization. From abroad, you can only synchronize data stored on your mobile phone, not data on your Sim card.
